Buyer

The task
A buyer looks for a car on several platforms in different countries at once. Prices are in different currencies, descriptions are in different languages, and the same model goes by different names. The only way to tell whether a price is good is to compare dozens of listings by hand.
FINDCAR needed one product that pulls listings from these platforms into a single catalog, puts them into a uniform format and helps people choose. It answers a question asked in plain words and shows right away whether a car's price is low or high. The SHARK DEV team built all of it, from the server to the mobile app.
Before
- Listings scattered across platforms in different countries
- Prices in different currencies, descriptions in different languages
- Whether a price is good: only by comparing by hand
After
- One catalog in a uniform format
- Prices in one currency, descriptions in one language
- Whether a price is good: visible right in the feed
What we did
Collecting and normalizing listings
The server collects listings from platforms in dozens of countries. It puts makes, models, generations and specifications into a uniform format, converts prices to dollars and translates descriptions.
Catalog and search
Filters by country, city, platform, make, model and generation. Saved searches you can share by link. A listing page with specifications, options and a link to the original.
AI assistant
It understands a request in plain language, such as "a family crossover under a set price, no more than a few years old", and picks matching options from the catalog. Available to registered users.
Price analytics
Every listing gets a "low", "average" or "high" price label, based on a comparison with similar offers, so a good deal is visible right in the feed.
Favorites and notifications
Collections and favorites, plus notifications about new listings that match a saved search and about price changes.
Web version and mobile app
The interface is in Russian and English, with light and dark themes, and can be installed on a phone's home screen. The mobile app is ready and waiting to be published in the app stores.
The result
- One catalog instead of dozens of platforms: listings from different countries in one format, prices in one currency, descriptions in one language.
- Buyers see whether a price is good right in the feed, before they go to the platform.
- Listing pages are open to search engines: a sitemap and product markup on every listing.
- The product is live and still growing: the feed updates throughout the day, and the mobile app is ready to publish.
